From May 3rd through June 2nd, Deitch Projects will present a retrospective exhibition of Francesco Clemente's work from the 1970's. More than one hundred pieces will represent Clemente’s work. His work was influenced by the political and cultural situation in Rome in the 70's, but also by music, particularly American music and art.

It’s fascinating to explore his concept of how the body is connected to the idea of travel, and how he often represents his works through paper, an ephemeral and 'flowing media' itself.
