2007 Line-up Showcases Art, Design and Architecture Icons and Some of Brooklyn's Best Designers in the Heart of DUMBO.

“Spring is in the air, and that means it’s time to make plans for BKLYN DESIGNS™, New York’s only curated design show open to the trade and public. Celebrating its fifth anniversary, BKLYN DESIGNS 2007 is now an established design event that attracts buyers and attendees from all over the world. The three-day show being held May 11 to 13, is presented by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and has expanded to include three venues, free seminars hosted by some of the industry’s best talent and an impressive list of trend-setting exhibitors of contemporary furnishings, including furniture, lighting, linens, rugs and decorative accessories.”

Friday, May 11th, 10am to 8 pm; Saturday, May 12th, 10am to 7pm; and Sunday, May 13th, 10am to 6pm.

There are three locations:
St. Ann’s Warehouse, 38 Water St.
Smack Mellon, 92 Plymouth St.
BKLYN DESIGNS Annex, 81 Front St.

Tickets are $12 per person per day – purchase online or at the show.

There will be free shuttle bus service all weekend between Union Square, DUMBO, and 110 Livingston, and between DUMBO and Forté Condominiums in Fort Greene.

New York City Ballet - Romeo and Juliet

This is the last weekend to see the world premier of the New York City Ballet's Romeo and Juliet.

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Lincoln Kirstein's birth, the New York City Ballet presents Peter Martins' Romeo and Juliet, set to Prokofiev's now-classic score.

The Brooklyn Waterfront Artist Coalition

A show of 300 artists, each with 10 feet of wall space, in an amazing civil war era warehouse on the waterfront overlooking the Statue of Liberty. It is the largest artist run group in the country.
