Lucy Walker’s captivating documentary chronicles the expedition taken by a group of hopeful blind children (horribly neglected in their discriminatory native Tibet) to scale Mt. Everest’s 23,000-foot Lhakpa Ri peak. It’s a compelling social study complete with breathtaking mountain landscapes, eye-opening cultural critiques, and a cast of characters you’ll remember well after the fact.
